My Reviews

Women of the Silk: A Novel by Gail Tsukiyama

Beautiful, Insightful, Informative
A worthwhile read

It is interesting to learn about a lesser known culture. I was surprised by how much I didn't know. The characters were unique and captivating.

Interesting, Difficult, Poorly Written
A tough read, but worth the time

The first few chapters are tough to get through because of the language, but once you get through the first few chapters it gets much better. The characters are humorous and you never quite know what is going to happen.

Slow, Interesting
Good characters, but slow moving plot

I'm glad I read this book. It was a good commentary on life - especially in a large family. I could picture all the chaos in my mind and it was pretty accurate.
It is an interesting book to read, but the plot is very slow. Unlike some other books it doesn't beg you to finish just to figure out what happens.
