Interesting, Inspiring, Dramatic
Food for discussion and thought!

The entire group enjoyed this memoir, and discussions centered around the human spirit and it's ways of coping with adversity.

Dark, Confusing, Difficult
Well written, descriptive character studies.

We enjoyed this book and the descriptions of this time period. Most excellent were the author's insights into daily ordinary life and her characters and their reactions to the events of the times.

 
Informative, Dramatic, Interesting
Very emotional book, great topics for discussion.

This was the most enjoyable book our group read this year.
