My Reviews
I fell in love with Leo right away. This book made me laugh, and cry by page 6. It gets a little confussing by switching several narrators, but comes all together again by the end.
I absolutely LOVED this book. So much that I don't even want to lend it out (which is unheard of for me) I want to hold it, look at it, and touch it. I found the story at first to be a bit frustating and thought I would be bored with the 5 year old narrorator, but I quickly changed my mind and enjoyed reading in Jack's perspective. I fell in love with him and his Ma. I think this may be my favorite book.
I really like this book. I read it within two days, due to the fact that I wanted to keep reading about what happens next. I found this book to be accurate, and touching. I loved the relationship between Alice and her youngest daughter Lydia. This book was easy to read, the characters were likable, I felt like I knew Alice and her family.
This book was so tragically sad for me, but I loved it.
