My Reviews
I like the first Bright Ideas book better, but this book takes place nine years later. Things have changed and so have the characters. I guess I didn't want Button and Winnalee to grow up! There are many good themes running through the book, and that makes for some good discussion.
I had read "The Lace Reader" by Barry and enjoyed it, so I was especially interested in reading this book. There is something that draws me to stories about the Witch Trials, and particularly Salem. I have visited there and found it to be a fascinating experience.
I like this book! It held my interest and it was interspersed with some good facts about the Trials and Salem. Characters were believable ,but not well developed. The ending was a surprised to me.
