The story has a unique beginning. I was drawn into the characters and loved the dual perspective of the two main characters. One character I felt much emphathy for, the second I did not respect at all. And I was surprised that she could make the choice she did. The book made me wonder if I would be able to sacrifice as Sarah did for a stranger.
We had a long discussion about what happened in the book. It was difficult and I lost my way while reading it sometimes. But it gave us things to think about. The people in the book had difficult things happend to them, and they reacted in a way that did not move them out of their situation. There was a feeling of no control and loneliness in the book. I think I will have to read it again to really understand what happened and all the science discussed in the book
