Most in our club felt if they had read the author's note which explains her history and purpose of the story they may have felt more compelled to read on. No one hated the book but no one loves it either. Last line in the book was rather disturbing....left you with an empty feeling for the characters

A heartfelt story about a man who loses his life purpose. Neighbors unknowingly or maybe knowingly help Ove to find a purpose once again. As one reads the book discoveries are made that explain oddities about Ove's personality and behaviors. As the story unfolds your curiosity is peaked and you have to continue to read.
