After hearing rave reviews from other book club members that this is a must read I finally got my Library to BUY the book so that I could check it out. I had the entire book read in a week and I am anxious to read the other 2! I think it was heart wrenching and romantic. I think anyone with a likeness for romance and dramma should read it.
I thought this book was easy to read and made you think of how something like this could really happen and what we might all do in that same situation. It made me think of what kind of person I am and if I would be as honest as Ellen was or if I would be more selfish if that type of situation ever happened to me? I would recommend this book to others.
It was easy to keep the pages turning for me on this one. Finished it in about 4 days but towards the end it seemed like everything happend so fast and didnt seem to likely anything in the real world would work out that way. The writer started out the book well but seemed to be abrubt in the way they ended it like they were tired of writing and just wanted to create a happy ending and be done with it.
I liked this book a lot. I first thought it was based on a true story and I can see how something like that could have happend back in the day the book started. I liked that it had such a great span of time and we had a chance to grow up with the firefly lane girls and share thier experiences. Get a tissue ladies because this one just might bring tears to your eyes....I know it did for me!
