While a very enjoyable, light read, our club found little beyond a brief mention regarding the family dynamics to incite discussion. The oldest daughter's struggle seemed realistic but we were disappointed with how the mother's initial strength disappeared as soon as she could depend on a man again. Overall, a wonderful beach read and a nice escape each time the pages are turned.

While interesting and certainly compelling enough to finish, I was a bit confused throughout the entire book. However, as the narrator points out, half of what she says is a lie, so I guess I was forewarned!
