The Calligrapher's Daughter: A Novel by Eugenia Kim
 Book Club Recommended
Informative, Interesting, Slow
Historically InterestingOur club enjoyed learning more about Korean history and the role of the Christian church in Korea. Some of us felt the book was a bit of a slog, and some felt the writing held the reader at a distance, being more of a recitation of events as opposed to drawing the reader in with lyrical, evocative prose. A good book for discussion.
