Uninspiring and barely readable

I found this book uninspiring and could not relate to the characters although I grew up at the same time. Their characters were not memorable and the plot was unrealistic.

CUTTING FOR STONE

The characters were memorable and the story was dramatic. Slow to start and overly graphic medical procedures, but the desription of the relationships of the characters was moving.
