The Rock Hole made me laugh, shiver under the covers, shout at the "bad guy", and rejoice when order is restored. This book brought back so many memories from my childhood visits to my grandparents in East Texas during the 1960s. Mr. Wortham has a winner on his hands and I can't wait for the next installment!
Love the title of the book! Truly a bitter and sweet love story!
This is the second book in The Red River Mystery Series. Picks right up where the first book, The Rock Hole, left off in the mid 1960's. You do not need to have read The Rock Hole to enjoy Burrows. The author, Reavis Z. Wortham, takes the reader on an amazing quest to find a killer that is loose in the Chisum, TX area. This book will keep you digging through the muck and mire, tunnelling through the disgusting debris to help Constable Cody Parker find "it"!!!! An edge of your seat novel. Can't wait for the next book in the series, Right Side of Wrong.
This book is very eye-opening to the Korean culture. The author put bits of her own life experiences within the book making it very personable. Our book club enjoyed discussing this book and the vast difference of various cultures.
