Insightful, Beautiful, Difficult
Difficult, but interesting read

The numerous literary and philosophical references usually went over our heads, but we found the book very interesting. We enjoyed an excellent discussion about the class system in Europe and the US.

 
Interesting, Romantic, Informative
Better Amish fiction out there

This book wasn't well written. It did, however, get us interested in reading more about the Amish and Mennonite communities.
