Historical fiction that explores human nature. A great read, hard to put down. Difficult upsetting subject, beautifully written.

The Book Thief

A WWII story of a German girl narrated by death. I cried while reading it, and I have NEVER done that before. A very heavy and depressing book so you have to be prepared.
