The Gurnsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Light-hearted and funny, but also has some great life lessons. A little bit of history thrown in as well.

Inspiring

Wonderful story of the triumph of the human spirit in the face of horrifying trials. Opened my eyes to some of the details of WWII that I hadn't ever considered. Really liked this book.

Interesting view of Vietnam war

The author paints a very clear and often beautiful picture of Vietnam during the 1970 's. Not so much a political book or a book about the war, it is a story of photojournalists, which gives a unique perspective. I really enjoyed it.
