The book was interesting. i especially found the description of the love relationship between carmen and Gen well written and beautiful. I alos fopund myself liking the "kidnappers" and was affected by the way they "died"
top 5 books i have ever read!! Our book club enjoyed the book throughly and had a great discussion!!
Our bookclub had a really good insightful discussion,which included our own beliefs.I found while reading the book becoming more angry,he had a daughter and should have thought more of her. We disacussed this at length. Several of our members agree with others it ended so abruptly. No closure. My overall rating at BC was a 3.75
i did not like as much as i thought i would--we ddi have a good discussion--one of our members was raised mennonite and was very helpful when we were discussing the book. I definitely ddi not find it hilarious-some parts were funny--generaqted good discussio
A true love story--i was leary to read at first--but i reccomend this book it is great!!! But it kept you on your toes as it was a bit confusing--so much "time travel" Our BC enjoyed and we had a good discussion!!
i very seldom give books a 5-and probably won't for a long time--i didn't even give it a 5 in BC-but the more i think about --it was a great book!! And those women--wanted to punch them--so holier than thou--we had a discussion regarding who was our favorite character and why--that was a good topic!!
This is a well written book and our bookclub on the whole rated it very well. I found it to be a violent book but also portraying loyalty.Her writing was so graphic i could actually see the scences she was writnig about. I am an animal lover and found parts of the book disturbing but unfortunately true
written well i was getting angry with "the paris wife" and at the same time understanding and feeling sad for her!! Reading th ebook enticed me to do furthwer research andhave found it quite interesting---we had a great discussion--and not all of the members liked it
Compelling--makes one think--our book club is reading each book ja-march--will make for interesting discussion--sineit was my choice i will definitely be thinking --how plausible is this book---the govt--this actually happening--.......
Twists and turns..easy to read...keot wanting to go to the end to see what happened. Our bookclub will br discusding this book in February. Its gonna be a great discussion..so many topics..
Reccomend reading..found it to be believable in the not too distant future..it is my choice for book club..looking forward to the comments from the members.. I found myself cheering him on...
