city of thieves

Hard to get into because of the horrific subject. Once you do,it is wryly ( and darkly) funny,well-crafted and inspiring. I t generated a lot of discussion, everyone was moved by this book.

The book is very easy to read, despite it's age. It generated lots of discussion, since the feelings involved are current and relevant to today.

Sarah's Key is not an easy read because of the subject. It will, however stay with you for a long time, it's beautifully written and ultimately courageous and inspiring on several levels.
