Great book - you get attached to the characters, and admire the great risks they take to tell their stories.
A bit out there and twisted in a fun and fantastical way, but then what do you expect - it's by Tom Robbins. You either like him or you don't.
An easy Good Read once you get to know all of the characters.
It made me never want to go to a circus. I liked the very end though....
This should be required middle school reading. Everyones actions have consequence - and teenagers take things in a very serious way.
A well written book, but very difficult to read. Pretty dark and graphic all the way through, but insightful to human nature.

I loved this book! From the ancestors to the monster in the lake & the mother. Great fun read!!
Everyone's God is different - whatever we need it to be. A little out there for me, but inspiring. Hard to read about the dark loss of a child.
Interesting because we live in the area where the murder happened & know some of the ancestors of the characters, but it was slow moving and long reading. Not a page turner.
