My Reviews
I compared this book to Cider House Rules at our discussion. It was a "coming of age" story of a young man, his first love and coming to terms with societies rules.
I love the story and dedication the story describes but know it would be so much more convincing as a slide show or movie. It is well written by the writer but you can tell when the subject exerted influence to include details ad nauseum. Not a group read.
The crux of the book is a dilemma between her current love and a former love. The book was well written, the subject just made me uncomfortable. I wanted the main character to just choose and get on with healing!
I think she wrote this book assuming you knew more about her life already because she comes across as selfsish and shallow to me.
