My Reviews

Epic, Interesting, Beautiful

Both books focus heavily on emotional introspection rather than external events.
• The “conflict” is often Circe’s or Achilles’ feelings, identity, or relationships
• Big mythological events happen off-page or quietly

???? If you enjoy plot twists and momentum, this can feel slow or anticlimactic.

Circe’s arc is more about acceptance than surprise

???? You’re likely a reader who enjoys being shocked, not gently guided to an inevitable end.

Both books:
• Are intentionally subdued
• Lean toward sadness, longing, and reflection
• Avoid big emotional swings or sharp turns

???? If you like dramatic shifts, betrayals, revelations, these books can feel emotionally flat.

You don’t enjoy books where the story happens inside the characters instead of to the characters.
