My Reviews

El Alquimista by Paulo Coehlo

Pursuing your Personal Legend

This was a fantastic book that allowed our group to take an introspective look into our own lives and our current journeys. Many of us found similarities to Santiago's journey and came to the same conclusion about the simplicity of life and living each day to its fullest. A great inspirational story that all can relate to.

The Gods Themselves - A Unique Sci-Fi Novel

This book was unlike all other science fiction novels I have ever read. It needs to be explained up-front that it is three novellas in one with a common background but not with a strong plot to connect all three. His descriptions about another world is most brilliant and the best part of this book. It is a must read for the purpose of having read a wide variety of novels.

Witty Story in Paris

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Yes, it's racy and ronchy at times (a bit much for my grandmother to read). However, the comedy and subtle insults thrown around make it a great read.

Lovely Bones - Review

This book has a way of getting under your skin and enveloping you in the story. The story and characters stay with me even to this day. It was a compelling story of life, death, and the beyond.

A story about a courageous girl with a knack to get things done even if it's the hard way. A great read.
