My Reviews
It was interesting to see that other parts of the works were affected because of this tragedy. We were so focused on this being an American tragedy but it was a global tragedy that even shook up Canada.
This was a better book than Grapes of Wrath. I learned more about the Great Depression era than I ever knew and was surprised by the same bigotry against immigrants back then as we see now.
Interesting strong female emerges from sexist caste system.
Gives an interesting twist on herstory of the apothecary/ natural healer mixed with current modern womanhood.
It was fast-paced; a page turner from the start!
