My Reviews
I like that it read a bit like a mystery. I thought this book, while heavy at times, had great humor. I was super invested in Eleanor’s character. She is different than other heroines I’ve read before. She’s unintentionally funny, quirky, unapologetic/unfiltered, and ignores social conventions. I enjoyed witnessing her growth and was cheering for her.
This book gave me so many feels. The different narrators added to the depth of the reading experience. I feel like the book had plenty of lessons for adults to call to my mind, such as be kinder than is necessary. I think it should be required reading for middle school!
