My Reviews
I fell in love with all the characters, even Susan. It took a hard look at the inner workings of the women impacted by the new laws governing their bodies. The book was written poetically, I found myself unable to put it down.
I liked this book, it was an easy and fun read (subject matter wasn’t fun obviously, but the girls and their misadventures were sometimes fun).
I really enjoyed the knowledge quest I went on after reading this book. I had no idea about the Clubmobile program or the role of the Red Cross during WWII in general. I have it three stars because it had a little too much romantic fluff for my taste. And I don’t understand why the girls were always elbowing and kicking one another.
Overall I enjoyed the story, though it was a bit slow and I felt the characters were underwhelming.
