Loved this book!! Knowing the history and locality in this story only added to the intrigue of this story. So well written, easily flips from 1885/6 to 2014 to tell the tales of two amazing women. If you love historical fiction this is a must read!!
Put your seatbelts on and be prepared for lots of twists and turns on this rollercoaster thrill ride!! Great characters, interesting storylines and surprises up until the end!! Definitely recommend this one!!
Totally unexpected thrill ride!! So much more than just the story of The Subway Girls, this is a great collaboration between the past and the present, how things have changed, yet are still the same. Absolutely charming characters set in and around New York city. This book slowly sucks you in and will not let you go until the last line!!!
Wonderful, inspirational, and heartwarming story! You could feel Margaret go through all her emotions as her life goes through a drastic, life-altering experience. Katherine Center also writes the feelings and struggles of Margarets loved ones. A great story for everyone, but especially meaningful for anyone that has an illness or struggle they face on a regular basis.
Amazing first novel!! I felt like I was having conversations with Maddy to keep up with her life after her daughter disappears on a NJ beach. You feel her pain, her determination, and her conflicts. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting and talking with Julie Maloney and can not wait for more stories with these beloved characters. Great beach or outdoor read, just take the time to dedicate to this, you will not want to put it down!!
OH MY GOODNESS, WOW, DAMN, THAT WAS A GREAT BOOK!!! I do NOT give 5 stars often but this one is well deserving of all 5 and then some! Could not put this book down, Catherine McKenzie kept spinning webs of deceit and suspense until I didn't think she had anymore left, but she kept her tales going until the very end! Amazing and something you must read!!
Didn't see it coming!!! Fantastic story, great characters, surprises galore in this novel about any ole neighborhood. Goes to show that you don't know what goes on behind closed doors and the past can come back to haunt you!! Definitely recommend this one!!!

Must read!! Murder, mystery, suspense, love, hate, ghosts, this book has it all! Flipping between 1950 and 2014 you get so caught up in the lives of the characters you can feel your heart racing, your breath catch and feel anxious at every turn of the page! Wonderfully written and completely captivating!!
A truly endearing story of the past meeting the present. Heartwarming tale about love, family, mystery, loss and friendships. Love that Marisa de los Santos continues with characters from Loved Walked In and Belong to Me, so you feel right at home with them, you know their stories. I hope she continues on with a follow-up to this, I really hated to see it end, even though it wrapped up beautifully!!
Good story, well written about a black couple whose life is thrown into turmoil over circumstances out of their control. No mystery or suspense, just following the lives of those involved in the uproar that follows and how the couple deals with the outcome and what is to follow. A story about love, life and the mistakes that change our lives!
Good story about a woman who wakes up from an accident and thinks it is 10 years earlier. Very interesting how she had to get reacquainted with her family, her children and her soon to be ex-husband.
This book is appropriately named because it tells a story of things that happen to a family that are ugly and wonderful. The book is disturbing, intriguing, and catches your heart. Anyone who knows someone who has dealt with addiction can see how this story can spark some truth in people's lives. Wonderfully written and leaves a mark on your soul!!
Another winner from Kristin Hannah!! A tale of family, survival and love with a beautiful, yet dangerous backdrop of the Alaskan frontier. You manage to go through all your emotions while engulfed in this story which starts back in 1974, while a young girl is dealing with moving, a father who was a POW, and the world after the Vietnam War. Touching, poignant, and well written!!!
Wonderfully written book about family, love, heartache and life. Great story starting during WWI and the Spanish Flu, and in the city of Phialdelphia and a mention of Quakertown, which are both homes to me! Characters are easy to get attached to and fall in love with.
Book starts slow but as the mystery starts to unfold and the two stories begin to converge there are so many shocking revelations that make it hard to put it down. Wonderful book!!!
Beautiful, touching, lovely family story told by three people. Rebecca L. Brown really gets you emotionally attached to this family, as you go through all their trials.
Not since Jamie Brenner have I became so interested in the lives of such wonderful characters. Every day Jane Healy wrote about in the book was like receiving a letter from Caprice!! I loved following their lives and was sad to let them go. This book is a heartwarming novel about the life of newly Americanized women torn between holding on to old country traditions and their new American lives. So happy to see that it was based on true stories!
OMG!!! This book is fantastic!! Part One is a page turner, but as soon as you read the last page of that section and start Part Two you must give up life as you know It and dedicate it to this book!! The authors wrote it so well I was surprised, but thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns. Every part was wrapped up so well, I wasn't left hanging. This is a must read book!!!
Love this book!! Written honestly and from the heart. Ginger shares her joys, upsets, and ugliness of her life like she is sharing with a friend. Since no one is perfect, it makes her totally relatable and loveable. Highly recommend to anyone who has suffered from anxiety, depression or the "I just can't handle it all" moments in life.
A quaint story about two mothers as they raise their families decades apart. Elsie has had to leave the house she raised her family and Lucy moves into her house. You share in their love and loss, triumph and turmoil and fall in love with both women.

Holy moly, didn't see that coming!!! Definitely a suspenseful thriller that keeps you on your toes until the very end!! Sandie Jones has a mischievous mind and tells a wonderful story with interesting characters. If you think you have a crazy family or difficult in-laws, just wait until you meet the Banks family!! Highly recommend this thriller!
Twisted yet brilliant novel!! Young girl goes missing, then 10 years later pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place, especially once the mother meets a little girl with a striking resemblance to her missing daughter. Put time aside for this one, is hard to put down!!
