Angela shares her experience growing up as mixed (her mother is black and father is white) and struggling with her identity as a child and young adult. Being "not black enough" in philly but treated differently by her white classmates and co-workers. Her story is enlightening and humorous.
This book follows Cedric from his inner city D.C. HS to Brown University. Well-written and informative! Such a sad struggle for this intelligent young man.
Fine, some gratuitous sex scenes. Unnecessary and made me wonder if the author/ publishers are trying to capitalize on 50 shades popularity.
