My Reviews
Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J. D. Vance
Informative, Insightful, Interesting
Hillbilly ElegyFirst half was personal and interesting then he steps back and gives us a sociology lecture.
The Friday Afternoon Club: A Family Memoir by Griffin Dunne
Gloomy, Slow
The Friday afternoon clubTerrible. Boring book full of name dropping and details about the authors ancestors who are not really relevant
Who cares is the reoccurring thought. Memoirs by famous or important people sell this author is an actor who is not famous enough to expect his memoir is worth reading. Would never have finished it if it was not a book pick by a friend.
