I started out not caring for this novel about a "grumpy old man". Where the story would go was kind of predictable, but I became more engrossed as the cast of characters became more developed. I really liked how the author wove Ove's back-story and current life together and how all his neighbors had their significant parts to play.Overall our book club really enjoyed it. Some said it was the best book they had read in quite a while. I don't personally agree with that, but I liked it more and more as it went on. It was easy and engaging writing to read.
