If it weren't a book club selection I would not have made it through... first half very slow, accents were written out in dialogue making it difficult to read. Confusing number of characters and names... Strike and Robin save the book with their characters.

This book really makes you think about how other people live all across the country and the vastly different childhoods that exist. It gets a little slow halfway through but picks up again. A lot of great discussion material!
