My Reviews
This was a laborious read. I would not have finished the book if it was not for the book club. Poorly written, almost on a middle school level. Limited character development. Some circumstances/situations in the book were implausible.
Wonderful book. The only drawback for me is the way the author jumps between time periods. I don't understand why this seems to be a recurring trend.
An insightful tale of racism and discrimination. Eye opening description of white privilege. Put your thinking cap on for this one and do some soul searching at the same time if you are white.
Quick, easy read. I enjoyed the spiritual aspect of their relationship and life together.
