My Reviews

Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Brilliant, Confusing, Unconvincing
Thought provoking...couldn't put it down!!

Exceptional story/history/drama of the political civil war of Nigeria-Biafra. Couldn't put this 540 pg. book down, and didn't want the book to end. This is a book you could discuss in a book club over the course of a few meetings, as there is such vast subject content such as politics, war, starvation, romance, drama, social justice, etc.).

Last Night at the Lobster by Stewart O'Nan

Informative, Fun
Had to motivate myself to get through this book!

The writer is good (writing style in general), yet the story itself is weak. A quick read (if you're motivated to get through it) on the closing of a Red Lobster business. He could have expanded on the characters to make it more exciting.
