We had a very good discussion, aided by the fact that our discussion leader is a lawyer and we have a criminologist in the group. Most people didn't really like the book, but sometimes those are the kinds of books that make for the best discussion. Topical because of the issues of race and police brutality, and of course Joyce Carol Oates is a very respected author.
