A Spool of Blue Thread

I enjoyed this read because I enjoy the dynamics of families, and like most people find it interesting how the relationships with the family of origin shape and continually affect the individual forever. It also highlighted to me the beautiful mystery of how despite mistakes that would easily end friendships, family exists on a higher plane which is at once a decision, and a need of the human soul. In that, I found it insightful and beautiful. I also appreciated the writing being poetic, but not excessively flowery, and that it is more about people like I personally know, without all the trendy sexually violent and corrupt add ons that seem to be requirements for publishing today. I guess that\'s the power of a Pulitzer from back when the world was somewhat sane...
