Wealth and a life of priviledge does not necessarily equate with happiness. Sandra Kay secretly returns to a part of her past where she discovers true happiness in the old Sears catalog house of her recently deceased uncle by helping the neighborhood children. Through the eyes of Cass who so desperately wants to keep everyone at arm's length, Sandra Kay is able to see her own life and the mother who kept her at arm's length. An unexpected turn of events brings Sandra Kay and her strained relationship with her husband to the realization that there is more to life than a perfectly planned life.
