The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd

Insightful, Dramatic, Inspiring
Fantastic read!

I never thought I would ever find another book like "To Kill a Mockingbird," that I would move me so much and I would want to read it over and over again. Once you pick "Bees" up, you will not want to stop reading until you have finished the last page. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

Informative, Dramatic, Interesting
Examines a friendship of 2 girls in 19th century China

This book lends itself to discussion regarding male and female relationships as well as a descriptive look into the character's world. It was a great read!

Pointless, Slow, Dark
Twenty Fragments of a Ravenous Youth

This book really was 20 fragments. It seemed like more of a collection of short stories, most being fairly pointless.
It felt like you were being told stories by a casual observer that liked to hear themselves talk. The main character was not very strong or overly vulnerable. She seemed to just exist and that was it.
