Introduction
The memory of an act committed when she was nineteen is the dark thread that has woven through Clen McClendon's life. It is a darkness she ignores until the discovery of her husband's infidelity serves as a tipping point, propelling her into a quest for redemption and forgiveness. In the beginning, that quest provides few answers and peace remains elusive, even during the time she spends time in an abbey. When she leaves the abbey, Clen makes the random choice to go to Wrangell, Alaska. But she soon discovers no choice is ever truly random and each one has consequences.
