Introduction

(Lisbeth Salander?the heart of Larsson's two previous novels?is under close supervision in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She's fighting for her life in more ways than one: when she's well enough, she?ll stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will have to prove her innocence, and to identify the corrupt politicians who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse. And, on her own, she will plot her revenge?against the man who tried to kill her and the government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life.

Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Lisbeth Salander is ready to fight back.

Steig Larsson was a great author, it is a shame that this is the only three books we will every read of his! This series is brutally honest, a bit more honest than we are use to I will have to admit but... (read more)

I found this book to be the slowest of the trilogy. I would also have been pleased with more resolution to the entire series but overall a good read.

I know that most book clubs won't read all three of the books, but it takes all three to do justice to the trilogy and the two main characters Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander. The third book nicely ties... (read more)

Sorry to see this trilogy end! It was a fantastic storyline with all of the twists and turns it took! Lizbeth is quite a strong character! I will miss her! Revenge is sweet!

First I like learning about another culture. This book is set in contemporary Sweden. The main female character is very eccentric, intelligent and independent. The main male character is very feminist... (read more)

The characters of Mr. Larsson's books are amazing. I'm intrigue of how Lisbeth Salander came into being with him. Oh, how I wish he was still alive. What questions is readers have for him!!
