Introduction
The award-winning memoir about the ripple effect one stranger’s question had on a life. It demonstrates how kindness, and a seemingly insignificant question can have a great impact in someone’s life, even long after the moment has passed. It’s the journey of the author from a shy, unconfident black college student that suffers from self-hate and emotional issues, to what he is today. From freshmen year to graduation, follow A.S. Drayton on the road that supposedly leads to happiness as he combats recurring nightmares and feelings of worthlessness. An honest, inspiring, and human recounting of college years.
