Darcy finds nothing is safe in this virulent world of war and poisonous politics. If she can successfully navigate such a feral landscape, she knows its toxic brutality will follow her home, and she, herself, will not return unchanged nor undamaged. But, maybe that sacrifice is what her people need to survive.
