Book Club Recommendations

Pick Midnight's Children instead!
by martha6337 (see profile) 09/08/12
My club had a great discussion of this book's very modern and topical themes BUT several members had a poor reading experience and found the book confusing, plotless and meandering. If clubs choose to discuss this author, they may prefer Midnight's Children.

"A magical fantasy spun by a master storyteller"by Martha N. (see profile) 09/08/12

"just couldn't get into it. Too obscure!"by Catherine H. (see profile) 06/24/12

  "Historical novel"by Gaylynn M. (see profile) 09/06/08

Similar to reading a history book but with romance both real and imaginative. Difficult to follow. Highly researched and includes an extensive bibliography.
