Introduction

In the country of Caution, no inhabitant is unfortunate, because nobody dares to make anything. Manoug is terribly bored. Guided by Cocagne, a lyrebird in thousand colors, he decides to leave in search of the Country of Happiness. But does it really exist? Is there only a single road to find happiness? Manoug will finally understand that the country of happiness is where his beloved ones are. A beautiful initiatory journey!

Eric Puybaret studied fine arts in Paris where he specialized in illustrations. He published more than twenty books with different publishing houses. He likes to work for the press and even more for children's books. He is also the illustrator of the award-winner Puff the Magic Dragon.

"In Search of Happiness" is beautifully illustrated by the prize-winning illustrator of "Puff, the Magic Dragon." "In Search of Happiness" will appeal to children age 6 and up.
--Midwest Book Review

Ages 4-7. Large-format pages allow Puybaret (Puff, the Magic Dragon) plenty of scope, and his evocations of each new country have a Cirque du Soleil feel [?] Saumande, in this sensitive debut, shows that it is in the search, and not the destination, that happiness lies.”
--Publishers Weekly

"The illustrations in this picture book originally published in France are filled with colorful images and imaginative scenes that compelreaders to tum the book's pages for more. "
