In August 2015, the morning after a day of shopping and fun with her best friend Ge, Brittany Carter learns Ge has died in a car accident. Her world is turned upside down as she struggles to move on without Ge. In our culture, we most times struggle with handling loss or helping those who are grieving. With the help of God, Brittany learns from the dark time in her life and grows stronger. She works to use this tragedy to help others deal with the death of a loved one. Throughout the book she teaches that it is okay to grieve, to honor the experience, and gradually adjust to the sudden change. The key is not to try to escape pain, but to learn to live inside of it. Brittany shares her journey with leaving behind life as she knows it and embracing the new normal.
