The Sweetest Warrior, is first in the Chain of Command series. The Morgans are a multi generation, military family who proudly serve their country. Sons and daughters are raised to have high moral standards, live their lives honorably and love their family and country.

The Sweetest Warrior features Jesse Morgan and Jake Kirkpatrick. Raised as foster siblings after the tragic airplane accident that claims the lives of his parents, Jake and Jesse have been best friends since childhood. Jesse is the only sibling not in the service. Her creativity is often viewed as quirky and the family ignores the behaviour they don't understand. Jake is her confidant and self appointed protector.

On leave from deployment with his Special Forces Unit, Jake admits to less than brotherly feelings for Jesse. The admission takes them both by surprise and the couple must overcome their own fears about the burgeoning relationship before they can face the disapproval of their family.
