Introduction

The six prefectures were embroiled in war and on the brink of destruction as they vied for control of the throne in Wyst. Only one thing could unite them before it was too late, and it was waiting at the bottom of the Eternal Lake for someone to claim it. There was only one problem: anyone who laid hands on it died a painful death.

A thousand years have passed since Everard Wonderlust recovered the Immortal Sword and put an end to the Great War. The Wonderlust Kings have ruled by divine right ever since, until Albion Wonderlust was murdered by traitors within his own Keep. His young heir returned to claim the throne just as the prefectures stood on the brink of another Great War, and there was peace for twenty-eight years.

Alia, heir to Stormgarden, has spent her entire life training to serve the last of the Wonderlust Kings. But keeping the King alive is easier said than done: conspiracy, murder, and treason seem to be a way of life in the capital, and even her suitors have hidden agendas. In a place where childhood friends and dangerous enemies live under the same roof, Alia is fighting something that seems only inevitable.

The end of the Wonderlusts.
