Introduction

Taken at Beaver Creek immerses you into the small town of Page Hollow. The agnostic Nathan Stall begins to doubt his deeply religious 1950's community as they fall victim to the hypnotic trance of the new Minister, Thomas Casey. The man had infatuated everyone with his gospel after the lone church mysteriously burnt down with the only reverend inside. With the anguish of a declining local economy, Nathan feels compelled to save his teenage crush, Holly, from the cult building down by Beaver Creek. Suffering from the isolation of a small mountain town, with faces in the window at night, suspicious deaths and missing teenage girls, as well as finding shallow graves hidden deep in the woods, Nathan struggles with his own faith to discover what evil really is, and who this evil has taken hold of in Page Hollow.

"Not a bad book"by janiceb (see profile) 08/11/13

Main character is a 17yr boy and that explains the language. Good story but dark and at times difficult to follow. Good dark story but not much for discussion
