Introduction

First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes....a baby carriage? Isnt that what all women want? Not so for Claudia Parr. And just as she gives up on finding a man who feels the same way, she meets warm, wonderful Ben. Things seem too good to be true when they fall in love and agree to buck tradition with a satisfying, child-free marriage. Then the unexpected occurs: one of them has a change of heart. One of them wants children after all. This is the witty, heartfelt story about what happens to the perfect couple when they suddenly want different things. Its about feeling that your life is set and then realizing that nothing is as you thought it was--and that there is no possible compromise. Its about deciding what is most important in life, and taking chances to get it. But most of all, its about the things we will do--and wont do--for love.

"Good book, read the whole thing in one sitting."by Jacquelyn H. (see profile) 01/31/09

I liked this book, but it was kind of drawn out at the end, compared to Emily Giffin's other books, this was my least favorite.

"Interesting Topics on Marriage and Children"by Stacie D. (see profile) 06/27/07

This was an interesting book for me because I've always struggled with the wanting or not wanting of children.

"Interesting book covers many life questions/dilemas"by noel w. (see profile) 03/26/07

This book I thought would turn out to be a weepy chic book, but it wasn't. It covered alot of life dilemmas and questions.
