"a typical Sparks book, was a good read, of course alittle sad" by dtcfife (see profile) 01/19/08

I liked it, was a fast read with a nice ending. Sparks is the master of love stories. some turn out bad, some turn out good. I don't this was one of his best, I liked the wedding, and The guardian better but all in all I would recommend this book.

Nicholas Sparks has done it again. There is a surprise twist that I love---it keeps the story line interesting. All of the characters could be real, and that is what I love about Sparks' writing. Every last detail with which the characters interact is so real. Good job Sparks.

"A Great Read!" by RuthieA (see profile) 01/25/08

Our book club members enjoyed this book immensely. For several members, this was an introduction to Nicholas Sparks. All agreed that Mr. Sparks writes a novel that relates to everyday living. The statement, "How far do you go in the name of true love," is a profound one that makes one take pause. One member made the statement, "As long as there's life there's hope". That sums it all.

"A True Love Story that Tests Your Faith in Choices" by serene7 (see profile) 05/11/08

Book was truly a pleasure to read. A true love story and one that makes you think about where you are in life, the choices that we have to make along the way, and ow the outcome affects us forever.

"Interesting subject but not sparks best" by Wits-End (see profile) 05/28/08

I have read three of Nicholas sparks books. I think this one was missing a something. I cried like all of is books but this book did not have enough substance to give us a good discussion.

"Good read, typical Nicholas Sparks book." by katemurphy (see profile) 12/30/08

This book was a very easy read, I would say a little too predictable love story. You kinda already knew how the love story was going to progress when you first met the characters. A little too much dialogue and sap for me, but hey that's Spark's style so I can't bash it.

"The Choice by Nicholas Sparks" by ahuihui (see profile) 04/28/09

I was very disappointed in the author's ending! I enjoyed the book up until the last 20 pages when I find out that the woman lives. Ugh, what was that all about? I figured Mr. Sparks got tired of writing tear jerkers but I was in the mood for a tear jerker!

"beautiful story!" by adufrain (see profile) 09/05/10

I could not stand the main girl in this story so I couldn't feel anything when bad things happened to her.
