It was a little far fetched. It was a quick read, and not bad, I just found the main character really hard to believe.
The main story center's around a rape. It was a decent book but it deals with a lot of heavy sexual issues, and I found it difficult to really enjoy.
This book started out with a lot of potential, but ended by killing off main characters; rather than resolving the main plot issues. It was also a little confusing as the author used so many different writing techniques (flash forwards, flash backs).
Now I understand why they made us read this in high school!
This wasn't an easy book to read, but I learned so much I didn't know about WWII.
A very good book. It may have tried a little to hard to display a liberal/progressive perspective, but still very interesting. There were a few surprises in this one.
