Our club really enjoyed this book. We found it to be very well written and we fell in love with the two main characters.
Our group found this to be a great book for discussion. We could really feel for the main characters and felt that New Orleans itself was a character in the story.
I felt that the author is a good writer. There are some confusing parts and the book does move slowly at times, but it does have interesting things to talk about in a book club format. I did love the main characters and am glad that we read it.
I thought this was a good book club book and an easier read. It prompted good discussion in our group. The writing style and the way that the story went reminded a couple of us of Janet Evanovich type of books. I liked the authors writing style.
I really enjoyed this book. So many memories and I was reminded of things from when I was growing up. We had a great time talking about it at our bookclub meeting!
