Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline
Informative, Interesting, Insightful
The Orphan TrainFirst half of the book was fine--fast moving & interesting, although a bit depressing. Then it hit a brick wall. Second half was sterile, with a feeling the author was just tying up loose plot ends. It was hard for me to empathize with the characters in this second half.

Informative, Insightful, Inspiring
The Invention of Wings: A NovelThis was an ok book, but I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more if I had known at the beginning that it was historical fiction (vs. regular fiction). I did particularly enjoy the endnotes which explained what parts were fiction and what parts were based on the historical facts.
