Excellent book. Great discussion.
A sad but moving story about 8 children in Little Rock in 1958 and their struggles to integfrate Central High School
While not a literary classic, this book was certainly a worthwhile, entertaining and enjoyable read. It was a great and timely book to read over the holiday season for our January meeting.
Not great literature and not even particularly well written, but it is a good story with interesting twists and turns. It is an easy read and provided thoughtful discussion and interesting scenarios.
A well written informative story about a little known fact of history.
A great read. Intriguing and captivating. Loved it!
Great story and well written.
Glad I read this book. It had been a long time since I read anything by Philip Roth. He continues to be a vey provocative story teller.
While certainly not uplifting, the book is well written and the characters, while flawed, are developed expertly. The book held my interest and I continued to read to find out how it ended.
An awesome book a wonderful read.
An intersting read. Held my interest.
